Requirements of the Project Management Trainee Technician:
- Desire to work in an engineering office environment.
- Willingness to achieve professional qualifications.
- Good maths skills.
- Good literacy.
- Ability to think in a methodical way to design, plan and organise projects.
- A temperament that means you work well with other people.
- Excellent communication skills within a team and external clients.
An enthusiastic and professional attitude and commitment to learning new skills.
Someone with ideally 5 GCSE grades (C and above) or equivalent, including Maths and English.

Things to consider
The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Apprenticeships and Vendor qualifications gained:
Start with an 18-24 month Higher Project Management apprenticeship, which combines training and work-based assessment, covering: Leadership skills, Communications, Finance & risk management and Stakeholder management.
You will gain Associate of Project Management (APM), and EAL Level 4 Diploma in Project Management. This fantastic opportunity can potentially lead to you earning £47k in a project management role.
