    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Daily and weekly activities include:

  • Planning content to use on social media.
  • Creating graphics.
  • Creating videos.
  • Community management.
  • Managing many social media platforms.
  • Writing and publishing blog posts.

  • Monitoring and measuring.

 

You will sometimes be required to attend events to live tweet and blog and this is the reference to remote working listed in the working week description. You must have the energy to do something active when required. For example, you may be required to video or take photos outdoors for blog posts. You must love a challenge and only ever see solutions. You will be an agile worker and be willing to try your hand at anything to gain lots of experience.

 

1st stage of the interview will be a Skype call which will last approximately 30 minutes. You will be notified within 24 hrs to be told if you've made it through to stage 2. Stage 2 is a face to face interview which will last up to an hour. You will then be notified within 72 hours whether you have been successful or not.

  • Ideally a minimum 4 GCSEs C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents).

Things to consider

From 1st October 2016 The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.40 per hour. From April 2017 this rises to £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training. Training provider

Throughout the duration of the Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Digital Marketing Academy based in Norwich for an intensive 3-day block study. This is followed by attendance at the Academy on day release once a month thereafter for structured training, and the remainder of the training will be completed in the workplace. The Apprentice will work towards an Advanced Apprenticeship in Digital Marketing. The Apprenticeship consists of:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Digital Marketing.
  • Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable).
