The key tasks will include:

·         Front desk shift work

·         Crew allocation to trains and optimisation of working positions

·         Update of computer systems

·         Dispatch of crews

·         Control of on board equipment’s

·         Accurate reporting of crew positions

·         Accurate and consistent reporting of attendance issues.Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility.

  • It is desired that applicants wishing to apply speak fluent English and French/Dutch.

Qualifications required

There are no essential qualifications for the role but Maths and English GCSEs at grades C or above, or equivalent are desired.

Before being signed up as an apprentice you will undergo mandatory Maths, English and ICT assessments. 

Future prospects

If successful the role could be made permanent and you may become a Crewing Assistant.

Things to consider

From 1st October 2016 The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.40 per hour. From April 2017 this rises to £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
