    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

  • Assisting our stylists
  • Answering the phone
  • Taking bookings
  • Greeting clients
  • Helping shampoo and conditioning treatments
  • Maintaining salon cleanliness
  • Making refreshments for clients.

Personal qualities

Friendly, Out going. Have a passion for learning in hairdressing.

Qualifications required

Preferably GCSE grade A*-D in English and Math

Things to consider

You will recieve In house and product training. There will be progression reviews where your wage may be increased depending on performance. Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): From 1st October 2016 The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.40 per hour. From April 2017 this rises to £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
