Advanced Level Apprenticeship
We’re Ambleglow - a team of friendly people who bring a refreshingly down-to-earth approach to recruitment advertising and employee communications, working on campaigns for a range of clients – from local schools to large blue chip organisations such as Channel 4 and The Royal Shakespeare Company.
We're a very busy team and growing all the time, so you'll be our go-to person who can efficiently handle a wide range of finance and administrative support, while working independently and with minimum supervision. Accounts duties will include invoice entry, approving and processing invoices, reconciling statements, credit control and other administrative tasks. While you’ll primarily support the Finance team, there will be some cross over with supporting the Account Management team.
You’ll have strong accuracy and numeracy skills, have an eye for detail and be methodical and ordered in your approach to tasks. Bright, personable and exceptionally well organised, you’ll need to thrive in a fast-paced advertising agency where you will need to prioritise conflicting deadlines. You'll also be the type of person that is hardworking, dependable and is happy get stuck in to whatever's asked of you - all with a smile of course!
Requirements and prospects
- IT literate
- Has a working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Helpful and polite telephone manner
- Detail focused and methodical.
- Strong maths, spelling and grammar skills (these would need to be tested prior to taking someone on)
- Excellent accuracy due to data entry work.
- Willing to muck in and help with whatever is asked of them.
- Very organised in their work.
- Keeps notes, writes things down.
- Eager to learn, enthusiastic and a ‘can do’ attitude. Confident and not afraid to ask for help.
Good grades in Maths and English GCSE

Training will include 5 qualifications:
A skills-based NVQ Level 3 qualification in Business & Administration
A knowledge-based qualification in Business and Administration
Functional Skills English (unless exempt)
Functional Skills Maths (unless exempt)
Functional Skills ICT(unless exempt)
Most training will take place in the workplace, although the Apprentice will also attend a 6-10 week
off-the- job training programme at our training centre in Southampton which will include paid day
