    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn all aspects of an administrative role.You will be fully supported throughout your Apprenticeship.

As an apprentice your duties will include:

  • Meeting and greeting clients in a professional manner
  • Booking meetings in various locations
  • Keeping the reception area tidy
  • Answering and forwarding phone calls
  • Sorting and distributing post
  • Prepare letters and documents
  • Deal with general queries/enquiries from the public and customers
  • Filing
  • Photocopying
  • Input data on to Harbron data base
  • Inputting date onto Excel and Word
  • Order and monitor the levels of stationery for the organisation on a monthly

You will be fully supported throughout your Apprenticeship.

After completing your Apprenticeship you may have the chance to progress onto an Advanced Apprenticeship in Customer Service or Business Administration. There may be the chance of full time employment for the right learner.
