A fantastic opportunity for a motivated, organised and driven Business Administrator Apprentice to support the event and construction teams in a varied office support role, with great prospects of promotion within the growing company. You will receive ongoing support and development that will provide you with the skills and knowledge required for a successful career within business administration, all we ask is that you have a proactive motivated attitude and we will teach you the skills.

If you are a successful candidate for this vacancy, you will be expected to provide an efficient administration service.

Your duties could include:

  • Answer queries from customers over the telephone and via email.
  • Book client orders and liaise with them before and after a booking.
  • Attend exhibitions and corporate days and evening events.
  • Direct customers to the right place if unable to answer query at initial contact.
  • Maintain client databases in an efficient and timely manner.

GCSE English and maths at grade A* - C or equivalent qualifications.

Future prospects

Once you have successfully completed your apprenticeship, there are many promotion opportunities within the company and further fully funded training.

Things to consider

Will be in an office environment all day, needs reliable access to transport as in rural location. From the 1st October 2016 The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.40 per hour. From April 2017 this rises to £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum Wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.

Training provider

On the job training working towards BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration (combined qualification, knowledge and NVQ).

You will be required to attend occasional workshops at Farnborough College of Technology.

Where appropriate, you will need to attend Functional Skills workshops to achieve the required levels of Maths and English.
