An excellent opportunity to join this well established veterinary practice in Chesterfield. The successful candidate will assist with administrative support to the Practice team and Reception Duties. A high degree of professional presentation is expected within this role. A keen interest in animals is expected. The successful candidate must be flexible to work within both a reception and administrative capacity. They will support both the Reception and veterinary nursing team.

Specific Duties:

  • Meet and greet patients and visitors to the practice
  • Make and receive telephone calls
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail
  • Produce documents relating to the business
  • Maintain records - using manual and IT systems
  • Scan documents into Patient records
  • File and archive documents
  • General Housekeeping duties
  • Make appointments for Patients using the Clinical System
  • Issue and file prescriptions
  • Record patient's arrival on computer system
  • Deal with requests from Patients
  • Maintain Professional and caring attitude at all times
  • Photocopying
  • Duties will also include animal handling
  • You will be working between 3 sites based at Chesterfield, Clowne and Matlock, therefore a driving licence and car are essential

The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is �3.40 per hour (raising to �3.50 per hour 1st April 2017). This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
