    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Things to consider

The APPRENTICESHIP programme will last for 12 months and you will achieve a Level 2 Kitchen Services QCF qualification, Functional Skills in Maths, English (if required). You will be based in the employer’s workplace so you gain 12 months’ work experience, and the opportunity for an interview for a permanent role at the end of a successful APPRENTICESHIP. This is an APPRENTICESHIP; and Government Funding is available for those aged 16-24. However, applicants of all ages are able to apply.

We prepare all your meals and deliver them to your door – home or workplace two times a week, normally on Sunday & Tuesday evenings. The food we deliver will give you a breakfast, lunch, dinner & two snacks for each day. Our ever changing menu is based on healthy food. The meal plan is designed to save you time preparing your own food. Our meals are tasty creations, breaking the monotony of everyday bland food. We understand that some people don’t enjoy certain foods, so we are happy to swap certain items for others e.g. salmon for chicken, green beans for broccoli. When ordering, just let us know what you don’t like, e.g no salmon, no broccoli and we will accomodate your needs. If you could also let us know if you have any allergies or intolerances to certain foods, so that your food can be specially prepared in accordance with guidelines
