    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Kids Around the Clock are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join their team as an Apprentice at their woodhouse Park Nursery!

A normal day would include

  • With support take an active role in planning
  • Assist with keeping up to date records in the form of learning journeys for each child within their key group
  • To Assist in the preparation and supervision of activities, the display of children’s work and general displays
  • Promote health and safety and welfare throughout the nursery
  • Undertake their duties and responsibilities in full accordance with the nurseries health and safety policy
  • Report immediately any defects in plant, equipment or the working environment
  • Take reasonable care to safeguard their own safety and that of others whom they work with
  • It is the responsibility of the post holder to commit to safeguarding and promoting safeguarding
  • Supporting the Manager, Deputy Manager, Third in Charge and Supervisory Nursery Nurses in developing and maintaining links within the local community creating positivity.
