Body Panel Apprenticeship Theoco
Apprentices will be working alongside fully qualified body panel technicians to be fully trained repairing and replacing damaged panels using approved techniques including gas, electric and plastic welding.

Vehicle Body Panel Technician Apprentices are trained to repair and replace damaged panels using approved techniques, including gas, electric and plastic welding up to B.S.I certification, whilst also gaining knowledge and experience repairing damaged vehicles using specialist body jigs and tooling.
In addition, the Apprentice will develop skills/awareness of estimating, an essential function for a body shop's profitability.
Requirements and prospects
Full training will be provided, no skills required.
A keen interest in the cars and an urge to learn about the mechanics of light vehicles.
Minimum of 3 GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent).
A full-time career within the automotive industry with many opportunities to progress to positions of authority. The opportunities are endless. By having a highly regarded set of skills, Apprentices can go on to develop their career within the specific interests they may have, whether it be progressing through their dealership, working towards a job within motorsport.

Not only will Apprentices be working and be trained within the garage they will attend a Skillnet approved college to work towards achieving their Level 3 Vehicle Damage Panel Technician apprenticeship standard.
A Skills Coach will visit at least every 28 days as part of a close support network to ensure that Apprentices are both enjoying and succeeding in their course. An Apprentice’s training includes:
