This is a unique opportunity to join Hillcrest Academy. 

Working as an apprentice Early Years Educator you will:

  • Support a teacher in creating a safe and enjoyable learning environment for all children
  • During the day, you will work with the class teacher to support children with classroom activities and help to manage behaviour
  • Excellent communication and enthusiasm will be key in supporting all children to progress and achieve
  • You will accompany teaching staff and children on trips and out-of-school activities
  • You will also act as role model for children and be a positive influence

You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standard (knowledge, skills and behaviours). The Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator is mapped to the Standard and will form the basis of the teaching and assessment whilst you are on programme. Additionally you will further complete a Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid. (RQF) or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF).

As a workbased training provider, Aire Vocational Training will provide an exciting individually designed training programme to meet your needs and those of your employer, combining theory with hands on practical experience to ensure you develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours that are relevant to your role.

On completion of your practical period you will be submitted to End Point Assessment by epaplus, this will comprise of two activities:

  • knowledge test
  • portfolio-based professional discussion with an EPA external assessor
