An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for Garden Matters (solutions) ltd who are a long established landscape and garden maintenance company providing landscape maintenance, design, hard and soft landscaping in both the commercial and domestic industry. We carry out work in the Thames Valley area.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated apprentice who is keen to learn to join our team, The successful candidate will be working predominantly in the Thames Valley area carrying out the following duties:

  • Grass Cutting
  • Hedge Cutting
  • Weeding
  • Digging borders
  • Leaf and litter clearance
  • Turfing
  • Soft Landscaping
  • Fencing
  • Decking

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Clean driving licence an advantage this is desirable but not essential
  • Must speak and read English
  • Be self- motivated
  • Be able to work in a team taking direction when necessary

Personal qualities

  • Must be positive
  • Polite
  • Reliable
  • Enthusiastic

Desired qualifications

  • Maths and English Grade D/3 or equivalent or above

Future prospects

  • You will be offered a full time role once you have completed your apprenticeship
  • Opportunity to become better qualified, gaining LANTRA or IPAF certificates in for example Tree Surgery and MEWP operation

Things to consider

  • You will be expected to work out side in all weathers
  • The work is very physical, a lot of standing and lifting
