The first six months of the apprenticeship will be spent at college working towards a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Engineering. You will then spend the working week at Eminox Limited alongside your new team.

Upon successful completion of this, you will commence years 2 and 3 working towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship in a relevant discipline within the organisation itself, attending college on a day release basis.

Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Developing an understanding of the principles of engineering
  • Developing skills in engineering such as welding and fabrication, electrical design, manufacturing, and mechanical engineering
  • Becoming competent in the safe use of machinery
  • Developing an extensive awareness of health and safety requirements and understanding how these apply both in the workplace and in college
  • Developing continuous improvement methodology

Future prospects

  • Upon successful completion of the Level 2 Apprenticeship in Engineering, the post-holder will join their team on a full-time basis. There is also the opportunity to prgress onto Level 3

  • Candidates will be required to attend the Eminox site for a tour, introduction to the team and formal interview. If you are successful at this stage, you will be offered a position
