The role of the level 3 apprentice will include:

- Give support to the staff within the setting
- Work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, develop and learn
- Build and maintain strong partnerships, working with parents to enable children’s needs to be met
- Ensure good standards of safety, hygiene, and cleanliness are maintained at all times

Desired qualifications
4 x GCSE A*-D/ 9-3 including maths and English or equivalent.
Preferably C+ for maths and English for level 2.

You will be working towards the following qualification/standard:
Early Years Practitioner – Level 2
This includes:
- Main learning objectives: Supporting child development, safeguarding, protection and welfare, health and safety of babies and young children, responsibilities of the early years practitioner, planning and delivering activities and purposeful play, partnership working.
- Functional Skills – if required.
- EPA (End Point Assessment) – Towards the final few months of the apprenticeship you will complete your End Point Assessment. This includes a professional discussion underpinned by portfolio. A knowledge test. All assessment methods will be conducted and graded by an independent EPAO.
This Apprenticeship is completed within the workplace. You will be assessed through written work, verbal discussion and observation throughout your training. You will be given time by your employer to complete portfolio work, attend training, workplace shadowing and any other opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge.
