  • Fabricate components detailed on technical drawings using sheet metal equipment (typically guillotine / press brake / iron worker / roller) and hand tools. Weld the components ( MIG or TIG ) as shown in drawing. 
  • Reporting to the leading hand of the fabrication section the apprentice will be required to safely manufacture components and welded assemblies as detailed on a works order and shown on the relevant technical drawing. The candidate will be trained to set and operate all the machinery and equipment in the department.

 At the end of the apprenticeship the successful candidate should be capable of to achieve this manufacture within the standard cost parameters of time and material.

To become fully skilled and to remain at Supply Plus Ltd as a qualified Fabrication & Welding The company have identified a skill shortage and coupled with the growth of the business and investment in new machinery an apprentice is to be recruited to support and be a part of a successful business.

Things to consider

The role will involve standing and observing whilst training is being undertaken. Whilst we are keen for candidates to be enthusiastic, H&S prevails and observing and note taking is necessary until those supervising are confident in the candidate’s competence. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment at all times whilst in the production area.
