- Fabricate components detailed on technical drawings using sheet metal equipment (typically guillotine / press brake / iron worker / roller) and hand tools. Weld the components ( MIG or TIG ) as shown in drawing.
- Reporting to the leading hand of the fabrication section the apprentice will be required to safely manufacture components and welded assemblies as detailed on a works order and shown on the relevant technical drawing. The candidate will be trained to set and operate all the machinery and equipment in the department.
At the end of the apprenticeship the successful candidate should be capable of to achieve this manufacture within the standard cost parameters of time and material.
