Bewicks Kitchen and Coffee House is looking to welcome a new member to the team as a Hospitality Team Member to support in the welcoming and serving of guests into our newly opened establishment.
As part of your job role, you will be:
- Welcoming guests on arrival
- Seating guests dependent on availability and requirement
- Providing a menu if required and offering refreshments
- Knowledgeable of the menu to provide information if requested
- Clearing and cleaning tables
- Place setting ready for next customers
- Monitoring the Coffee House area at all times to ensure it is clear, clean and tidy
Requirements and prospects
Desired skills
- Good communication skills including listening to customers and transfer of information/orders
- Willing to provide a good customer experience
- Able to follow instruction
- Confident to engage with customers on arrival and throughout their visit if necessary
Personal qualities
- Very smart and clean appearance requiring very good personal hygiene
- Respectful yet friendly nature
- Ability to smile and appear professional, regardless of any situation
Desired qualifications
- GCSE in Maths and English Grade A-E (9-2) or equivalent
Future prospects
- Progression to level 3
- Full time employment for the right candidate and successful completion of the apprenticeship
Things to consider
You will be standing for most of your working shift. This is solely a workplace based apprenticeship
If you do not have the required grades for the apprenticeship, you will be required to complete Functional Skills in maths and english by remote learning.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
