As part of the apprenticeship training the apprentice will:

  • Assist the Manager in the development and implementation of the company marketing objectives
  • Identify the need for any additional marketing / promotional material or re-prints of current material and maintain stock cupboard in Marketing department
  • Maintain company displays and ensure displayed marketing material is up to date - notice boards, posters, and literature displays
  • Produce Internal / external communications (staff emails and newsletters)
  • Liaise with suppliers to gain quotes for advertising and promotional items
  • Ensure course information on the ERP system and company website is up to date and liaise with the relevant department on any updates
  • Produce and undertake direct mail / email campaigns as and when required
  • Lead on the planning of company events (both face to face and remotely) including – Awards Evening and Apprenticeship Open Evenings
  • Produce marketing material, including the creation and design of these working with the relevant department for the content
  • Update the company social media sites daily and continue to grow our following
  • Monitor and evaluate the google analytics for the company website
  • Attend events including expos, networking events and school events as and when required
  • Responsible for updating of the Alliance Learning website with Apprenticeship vacancies, new courses, news stories, case studies, blogs and banners and ensure all content is refreshed and kept up to date
  • Responsible for updating the company membership links on the website
  • To be responsible for company Charity events (including promotion and implementation) and liaise with the Manager to agree these
  • Co-ordinate and be the main point of contact for school engagement, ensuring these are covered either virtually or face to face
  • Assist with the weekly IAG sessions as and when required
  • Support on recruitment functions during busy periods including ERP, updating NAS and booking in IAGs
  • Provide general support to the Manager / Senior and the wider Business Development team
  • Produce monthly statistics marketing report
  • Undertake Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) for the company website
  • Produce infographics on a bi-monthly basis gathering relevant information as requested by the Manager
  • Actively promote and seek ways of promoting Alliance Learning through digital media and liaise with the Manager / Senior with your ideas
  • Attend a minimum of 3 day/evening careers events (excluding Awards Evening and Open Evening

As part of the role, the apprentice will use:

Software:

  • Google Analytics – this is a free tool to manage website performance
  • Canva – this is also a free design tool
  • Hootsuite – social media marketing scheduling tool
  • Adobe Software – for designing and editing
  • MailChimp – Email marketing tool

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Good all-round knowledge of using IT equipment, including addressing and resolving basic on-line, off-line, software and hardware issues
  • Excellent web navigation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office

  • Professional and able to follow guidelines especially when representing the company on-line

Desired qualifications

Must have:

  • GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) in maths and English

Future prospects

Upon completion of the apprenticeship the successful candidate may have the opportunity to gain full-time employment and progress within the company.

Things to consider

The employer will pay the National Minimum Wage as a starting point, but this will be discussed at interview and may increase dependent on the candidate's experience. 

Applicants must have and include GCSE grades for English and maths achieved, predicted or equivalent.

Applicants must be able to travel daily to the work place and 1 day per week at Bolton College.
