Throughout the training the apprentice will learn engineering activities will be allow the apprentice to:
- Diagnostics of faults and issues of equipment, machinery, and systems
- Repair of equipment, machinery (electrical & mechanical) and systems
- Correctly disassemble, inspect, clean, replace and re-assemble mechanical assemblies
- Installation of systems in accordance with safety standards and regulations
- System testing and commissioning
- Completion of risk assessments, reports, and certificates
- Equipment and machinery health checks
- Liaise with customer about works and suggested (any) remedial actions
- Have the knowledge, understanding and competency to identify potential regulation breeches and feedback to the office
- Feedback to the technical team with improvement suggestions
- Punctual, professional and a company ambassador
- Manage own time
- Assist other business functions when not on site
- Ability to get on with the job, using knowledge, skills and experience to make informed decisions

Personal qualities
Good timekeeping, the ability to take on board information in a variety of formats and able to communicate effectively with colleagues and team leaders. Have a proven interest in the working environment and want an apprenticeship.
Desired qualifications
The candidate must have GCSEs, or equivalent, at grade 4 or above including Maths & English Language.
Please note that level 2 adult literacy and adult numeracy will not be accepted. This is due to the apprenticeship certificate awarding body’s requirements.
