This apprenticeship will support and train you to be able to:

  • Managing our product suppliers and test houses in Far East
  • To ensure product compliance in each region the products are sold
  • To ensure factory compliance to relevant legislation
  • To report to regional compliance scheme products placed on each market
  • Collect data from suppliers on environmental performance and produce relevant reports
  • Produce reports on product quality

Duties may include:

  • Monitor New Product Development projects, failure mode and performance testing
  • Maintain the product technical files in accordance with relevant legislation
  • Ensure that factory Technical and Corporate Social Responsibility certification is kept up to date, ensuring all corrective actions are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensure product UK and EU compliance certification remains valid
  • Collect factory environmental data to support customer reporting on carbon emissions etc.
  • Collect product data to enable customer and scheme reporting of WEEE, Battery and Packaging
  • Ensure calibrated equipment and external documents (such as Product Standards) are kept up to date
  • Management of Golden Samples across various sites
  • Support the Sales Teams by providing compliance information on request
  • Support the Quality Team on product quality using consumer reviews, returns data and physical examination of the products

Requirements and prospects

  • Ability to explain technical details to non-technical people
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Desired qualifications

Mandatory

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE’s at Grade 4/C and above or National 5 at Bands A-C including mathematics, English and a Science (or equivalent)

  • Higher academic qualifications, e.g.,  A levels or BTEC (welcome but not essential)

We would be hoping for a successful apprentice to remain with us long term
