Duties will include:
- Deal with queries and requests from patients/medication queries, seeking medical advice where necessary
- Check computerised appointment sessions regularly, ensuring time of absence are blocked for booking
- Initiate any changes to appointment sessions as requested by the manager and doctors
- Answer the telephone
- Accept and accurately record requests for appointments, home visits and other messages
- Unlock the surgery in the morning and ensure consulting rooms are tidy for morning surgery
- Ensure consulting rooms and reception areas are stocked with adequate stationery
- Tidy the waiting room and reception area after each surgery session

Desired qualifications

Future prospects
- It is hoped that after the successful completion of the apprenticeship that either a full permanent position or a chance of progression will be offered, however this is not guaranteed
- You will have the great opportunity to complete your NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing qualification during this apprenticeship
