A fantastic opportunity and exciting new role to work within the NHS as a Customer Services Assistant for a small friendly GP surgery. The role entails assisting patients with queries, booking, cancelling and rearranging appointments, whilst completing a Level 2 Customer Service Apprenticeship.

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Duties to include but not limited to;
- General administration- filling, scanning, opening post, copying medical records.
- Liaising with other care agencies to ensure patient care is optimised
- Answering calls
- Making outbound calls
- Dealing with patient queries face to face
- Scanning medical letters
- Use clinical software
- Check surgery emails
- Open and distribute post
- Making and re-arranging appointments
Requirements and prospects
- Ability to multi task
- IT literate
- Good communication skills
- Keen to learn
- Understand confidentiality
- Maths and English GCSE A-C/9-4 grade or equivalent qualifications
There is a potential full time position offered to the right candidate
