The Below Decks team have an opportunity for passionate apprentices to become part of our kitchen team in our newly refurbished restaurant as Commis Chef.
Below Decks is a beautiful restaurant on Beacon Quay, overlooking Torquay’s historic harbour. Baked in sunshine from sunrise to sunset, the full flavour of our fabulous harbour is available in the unique environment of Torquay harbour restaurant Below Decks.
As Commis Chef you will form part of our kitchen team and will work closely with our Head Chef and Sous Chef to provide the best quality and experience to our guests.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and have a keenness to learn and help the team in a fast paced kitchen environment.
Your main duties will consist of:
- Assisting with stock rotation/Cleaning stations
- Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.
- Helping with deliveries and restocking
- Cooking and preparing elements of high quality dishes
- Assisting other Chefs
Our team will support and train you in every aspect of food/kitchen management and help develop your skills in what is a demanding but very rewarding profession.
