Engineering Operative - Fabricator Apprentice North Valley Forge
North Valley Forge has been creating unique wrought iron designs for our customers nationwide for over 30 years. In both design and quality, we are the leaders in our industry. We are now looking for 2 enthusiastic apprentices to join our team and learn from the best.

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Level 2 (GCSE)
Duties will include:
- Working to Drawings
- Marking out and cutting steel using circular saws, drills, grinders, cropping machine
- Using old blacksmithing techniques (forging etc)
- Welding steel parts together using MIG
- Adhering to company Health and Safety policies
- Ensuring work area is kept clean and tidy
Requirements and prospects
- Good maths and english capability
- Good communication skills
- Be able to work on own initiative
- Able to work as part of a team
- A desire to work in engineering
- Motivated individual
- Someone who will take pride in their work
- Someone who is punctual and organised
GCSE Maths & English Grade 4(C) minimum, or equivalent.
There will be progression opportunities for apprentices who want to learn and progress

The successful apprentices will learn from the best with 30 years experience in the industry. You will be supported on both on-the-job training and off-the-job training at Burnley College to work towards your end-point assessment for Level 2 Engineering Operative - Fabrication Pathway.
