Responsibilities:

The aim of the position is to enable Clients to remain safely in their own home with as much independence as possible. Alongside providing care and support in a professional, discreet and caring manner, always ensuring the Client’s right to privacy and dignity is maintained.

Tasks/responsibilities of the role include:

  • Involvement and information of care policies/procedures
  • Giving personalised care, treatment and support
  • Safeguarding and safety
  • Informing managers if you experience difficulty in getting to your scheduled visits at the pre-arranged time
  • Delivering quality care
  • Adhering to confidentiality.

The following skills have been specified:

  • It is essential that you can drive and have access to your own reliable vehicle as this role will be visiting clients in their own homes.
  • Applicants should be patient, caring, approachable, helpful, friendly, trustworthy and reliable.

Working hours:

There are 2 roles available, the 1st role is working part time 16 - 20 hours per week and the 2nd role you will need to be a flexible worker, able to cover 2 set weekends per month (weekend rotas are provided 6 months in advance).

Pay:

Weekdays the hourly pay is £9.50 per hour per and £10.50 per hour per weekend. There is also a contribute of 32p per mile.

Apprenticeship side:

Over the course of 23 months (dependent upon the level of course an apprentice is being enrolled onto), you will study modules such as personal development in care settings, the responsibilities of a care worker, handling information in care settings, implementing person-centred care plans, safeguarding & protection in care settings, duty of care in care settings, communication in care settings, equality & inclusion in care settings and health & safety and wellbeing in care settings (these units may differ).

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship programme, you will achieve a Level 2 or 3 qualification and a TQUK Diploma in Care.
