You will support the preparation, cooking and serving of all food and drinks for our patients, visitors and staff always taking into account each patient’s needs. With good communication skills, you will discuss and assist with menu planning, managing the food ordering as required.

Some of the responsibilities include;

- Preparing and presenting all hot and cold food items from the main kitchen

- To support all meal periods; breakfast, lunch and dinner

- Maintaining a high standard of work at all times

- To keep all kitchen and work areas clean and tidy at all times and observing all food handling regulations and requirements

- Maintain clear communication between the kitchen and other departments

- To ensure that all costs are kept within the agreed budget, where possible, and to notify the Head Chef when problems are identified.

Sodexo embeds a strong safety culture in everything we do, so there will be company procedures to follow and you must maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the food preparation and service areas at all times.

As we are based on an NHS site, it will be mandatory for all new staff to evidence full COVID vaccination (before 01 April 2022) in line with Government requirements. Exemptions do apply.
