To assist with the daily routine including intimate care, the preparation and service of snack/meal times (food hygiene training will be provided as part of our induction procedure)

To help set up the room at the start of the day and tidy away at the end of each day

To contribute towards short term planning and daily reflective practice to ensure children's enthusiasm and interests are extended and successful activities revisited


Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

Experience of working in a Nursery or early years setting is desirable

Be suitable, both mentally and physically, to care for children

Ability to communicate and maintain friendly relationships with children, parents/carers and staff

Ability to work on own initiative and cope with a busy Nursery setting, seeking guidance when necessary

Ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding roles and responsibilities and your own position within these

Ability to work in a professional manner at all times

Personal qualities

Confident, Creative, Helpful, Organised, Willingness to work in all weather for outdoor learning opportunity, a passion for working with children and the ability to work as part of a happy team

Desired qualifications

GCSE grade 4-9 (A-C) in English and maths are essential (or equivalant qualification)
