We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Apprentice within the legal industry based in Leicester. Our aim is to grow in our use of IT and look for innovative ways to provide a better digital experience to customers & staff. This role will involve providing onsite support to the office as well as maintaining and updating the IT systems.

We appreciate that you will likely be at the beginning of your IT career, so we’re not looking for someone with years of experience but rather someone who can demonstrate basic IT skills, with an interest for the subject and the desire to learn on the job. You will work alongside an existing IT technician who will share and assign responsibilities.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Provide 1st line support to staff, face-to-face, via telephone or by email
- Installation and maintenance of hardware and software
- Investigate and resolve issues with IT equipment and systems
- User management + account setup
- Making backups
- Testing of new systems. Provide basic training to staff relating to the use of IT systems
- Assist with general legal admin and become familiar with the legal software as well as the basic process

Desired qualifications

Things to consider
- Must be able to work between 9-5 and be able to travel to the location of the office (LE2)
- Additional training to take place at Loughborough College to develop knowledge, skills, and behaviours to accordance to this Apprenticeship. Please ensure you are able to travel before applying
- Potential start date has some flexibility between June-August 2022

End-Point Assessment (EPA)
- End-point assessment (EPA) is the final stage that an apprentice goes through to complete their Apprenticeship
- The Apprentice must show their learning to an independent end-point assessor and the grades available are distinction, pass or fail
- The EPA will include: Summative Portfolio, Synoptic Project, Employer Reference, Interview
Delivery Method
- Our delivery model includes a 1 day per week college attendance for training and development of skills, knowledge and behaviours and 1:1 support from your trainer assessor in the workplace and will include assignments, work-based company projects and self-study
