Your working week will be varied but typical roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Answering the phones and ensuring that all callers are dealt with in a friendly professional manner
  • Dealing with lettings and sales enquiries received by phone, email and personal callers to the offers
  • Arranging viewings with applicants and current tenants
  • Responsibility for letting boards/office window display
  • Providing the admin work required for the let of properties – processing applications, liaising with the referencing team, organising the legal and other documentation required
  • Ensuring records on the property software system are kept up to date
  • Assisting the tenancy managers with property maintenance
  • Assist with the marketing of properties

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word required & Excel would be helpful
  • Comfortable speaking with people on the phone and in person
  • Good knowledge of social media platforms would be helpful

What will you learn?

  • Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in English and maths (if required)

Much of the training will be undertaken ‘on the job’, supported by regular visits from a qualified assessor.

The Business Administration Apprenticeship is an 18-month programme, with apprentices being assessed on their competence within the workplace every 4-6 weeks.  Assignments will be set to cover the theory element of the qualification.

You will attend a fortnightly Business Administration workshops based at Totton College.
