Duties include:

  • To load/unload vehicles using forklift in line with company safety procedures, upon receipt of formal training
  • Taking deliveries, checking for damaged / missing items and storing or distribution of items as required
  • Physical lifting and handling of boxes
  • To learn how to use and understand IT Systems – IFS and Shipment Tracking System – Incoterms to organise international and domestic shipments or collections.
  • To book incoming goods accurately and resolve or escalate any issues
  • To pack and despatch customer orders as required to the due timeline
  • To conduct regular stock checks to maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Correct care and use of all company equipment which includes mechanical racking systems, materials handling equipment (MHE) and fork lift trucks (when trained and authorised to use appropriate equipment)
  • To work as part of a team, be proactive and actively demonstrate a willingness to support and achieve the overall business objectives
  • Work in accordance with all company policies including ‘ThinkSAFE’
  • Report any near misses, unsafe working practices or problems with equipment
  • Report any breaches if any, of ethics or non-compliance observations
  • Undertake training and development as required to meet legislative or organisational requirements
  • Ensure general housekeeping is maintained and in place
  • Adhere to warehouse operating procedures
  • To perform any other task as reasonably required by management
