Duties will include:
- Logging and reporting of stock – processed/stored
- Liaising with operations and management office regarding upcoming work
- Housekeeping – ensuring material is stored correctly based on classification, areas are kept clear and tidy. Our facilities should be auditable 365 days a year
- Sweeping
- Tools returned/stored in their correct areas
- Equipment and machinery maintenance – fork trucks/balers
- Reporting any faults or issues with machinery immediately and following up the repair/parts etc
- Stock/bales/pallets – Stored in the correct areas
Trained in all aspects of ESWM processing;
- Shredding/Destruction (multiple)
- Baling
- WEEE
- Metal
- Cable
- Fork truck
- Logging and recording stock held
Fire Safety Marshall:
- Alarm test and logging
- General monitoring/reporting of any problems/errors
- Sharing good practice and flagging issues during team meetings
Health & Safety:
- Walk ways – Clear and useable
- Processing areas – Clear and useable – These are not storage areas.
Equipment – Working and safe to use:
- General safety checks to observe any ‘changes’ – i.e. new pallets delivered in and they have been stacked dangerously
- Working with MSS to ensure compliancy/changes in legislation/general learning
- Training new staff
- Inductions
- Teaching staff to use specific equipment
- Fire procedures
- Health and Safety around the workplace – and the enforcement thereof
Warehouse operations:
- Capable of operating all equipment and machinery
- Managing ‘drop in staff’ – When available from Operations
- Prioritising work – Secure and non-secure
- Unloading deliveries
- Loading trailers – bales/pallets
- Greeting/escorting/chaperoning visitors/clients
- Completing worksheets on a daily basis
