- Form working - putting up or dismantling the shuttering that holds setting concrete in place
- Concreting - laying and smoothing concrete for foundations, floors and beams
- Road working - concreting, laying kerbs, paving and re-surfacing, access roads
- Land management support, soft landscaping and hard landscaping, mucking out of sheds, mowing, boundary maintenance, tree planting, paddock maintenance
- Operation of plant & equipment including mini diggers, dumpers, trailers, power tools under all under supervision

- Use of hand tools & power tools
Requirements and prospects

Desired qualifications
- GCSE grade 2 or above in English and maths (or equivalent).(If you do not already meet these criteria, we will ask you to sit initial assessments to indicate which level you are currently working at)
- First Aid certificate preferred
- Basic Health and Safety certificate desirable
- Driving licence desirable
Future prospects
Candidate can move to qualified groundworker role upon successful completion. Thereafter move through to Senior Groundworker/Supervisor and Site Management roles.
With this job there are opportunities to train up in Agriculture related contracting work too, if candidate is interested.
Things to consider
- Hours - Some early starts and irregular hours
- Overtime at weekends and evenings may be required to meet deadlines
- During busy periods, you may work longer hours. There may be a requirement to work out of hours for emergency call outs
- You will work outdoors in all weather conditions
- The work can be physically demanding, involving lifting and the use of heavy tools and equipment, carrying heavy or awkward loads
- You will be expected to wear protective clothing, such as a safety helmet and boots, eyewear, ear defenders and high vis clothing
- There may be a requirement to work away from home occasionally
- Starting salary dependant on age and capability/experience
- Due to the nature of the job successful candidate will be required to travel to various locations, therefore ability to travel independently and access to own transport is preferable
