Your journey will begin with maintaining housekeeping standards within your place of work then progressing onto basic vehicle service and repair work. As you gain more experience within the workshop you will be required to carry out more in-depth repair work, carrying out adjustments to the vehicles geometry and managing the stock system, calculating estimates and ordering parts.
The general duties within this role include:
- Ensuring housekeeping standards are high
- Following vehicle inspection checklists
- Testing components e.g., batteries
- Learning repair techniques
- Carrying out simple automotive repair work
- Write estimates, manage stock, and order parts

- A passion to develop your skills, knowledge and abilities within the industry
- An understanding of the automotive industry and environment
