The successful candidate will be expected to display a high of professionalism. You must possess good communication skills as dealing with the public is paramount. The suitable candidate must show passion for the industry.

You will be expected to:

  • Meet and greet clients
  • Assisting Stylist
  • Reception
  • Cleaning duties
  • Training

The stylists will expect you to work closely alongside them observing assisting with colouring shampooing and blow-drying. Training will be given on a weekly basis in the work place; this may follow the college programme. Monthly or weekly meetings/appraisals may be given.

The training the college will provide on a weekly basis and will comprise of:

  • Style and finish hair (blow drying)
  • Set and dress hair
  • Cut hair using basic techniques
  • Colour and lighten hair
  • Advise and consult with clients
  • Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp
  • Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work
  • Perm and neutralise hair
