You’ll be working alongside Emergency Call Handlers in our Alarm Response Centre, helping us meet our ambitious targets for quality and efficiency. You will learn how to conduct audits and report your findings, helping us to improve our service and keep saving lives up and down the country.

The main responsibilities for this role include:

  • Administration for the Alarm Response Centre
  • Using Microsoft packages to input data
  • Assessing Call Handler activity against the criteria
  • Taking minutes during meetings
  • Adhoc office duties
  • Assisting other areas of the business

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Someone with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • An individual with relevant software knowledge such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • A friendly and approachable individual with a confident and polite manner
  • GCSE or equivalent in maths and English

This role would be ideal for anyone who wants to develop a well-rounded set of skills and start climbing the career ladder. We can offer a range of apprenticeships including a Level 3 Business Administration qualification which would be over the course of 12-18 months.

You’ll also have the chance to experience other departments within the company and broaden your skills even further. There is plenty of opportunity for career progression too. In fact, many of our apprentices go on to hold permanent, full-time roles in the company after completing their apprenticeships.
