Urgent vacancy! In The Woods Nursery in Chelmsley Wood, Birmingham (B37), urgently require an Apprentice Early Years Practitioner. Excellent opportunity to gain childcare skills with a successful Nursery. This is an apprenticeship in Early Years Educator Level 3. You must already have a childcare-related level 2 qualification.
Working in a busy nursery environment, in a rewarding role to help children's development, the varied duties will include:
- Caring for children, including nappy changing and toilet training.
- Completing activities with children.
- Preparing meals, snacks and drinks.
- Keeping records of attendance.
- Making observations and recording them for development.
- Reporting any concerns about the children and their welfare to Management.
- Assisting senior staff by completing tasks required.
- General housekeeping and any other duties to support the nursery requirements.
- Other varied duties included at later stages once experience and competent.

About the employer
We are a private day care setting offering care and early educational experiences for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. Our aim is to provide a warm rich environment where children are valued, heard and nurtured to reach their full potential. In the woods nursery was opened in January 2018 by Sarah the nursery director who had previous experience in child minding and in schools. The building was previously used as a surestart children's centre and provides a fantastic base to build a quality learning environment.
