As a laboratory apprentice you will gain a full understanding and experience of working in a Chemical Laboratory environment. You will work within all the relevant departments within the fragrance factory.
The main day to day duties of the role include:
- Produce and complete assigned projects within allocated time by chemical compounding and utilising readymade fragrances located in the Sample Library
- Dispatch projects, meeting the target deadlines for any given country and global area
- Complete projects that have been set for the day
- Follow formulations with accurate weighing of powders and liquid raw materials
- Complete a "fill off" from the library following the location given on the project
- Carry out basic Business Central (BC) stock and order processing system work, including locating stock, and printing a formulation
- Maintain Library upkeep, including refilling empty bottles by printing a formulation and completing to replenish stock
- Batch in samples and add locations of new stock to the Library, including adding batch numbers and Libary locations onto the Formpak software
- Prepare samples for the dispatch area by labelling, packing, and submitting into relevant collation points in the dispatch area and replenish raw materials, including logging out stock items on the Formpak software
- Complete daily dispatch duties and daily technical documents
- You will be working as part of a team in a busy environment. The ability to work in a methodical and organised manner and demonstrate willingness to adapt with conflicting operational demands is essential
- You will be required to read and follow written instructions and understand your health and safety responsibilities, adopting safe working practises including manual handling, use of personal protective equipment & chemical handling
- You must have the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and work as part of a team, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy at all times
