To complete a 4-year Engineering apprenticeship as a Mechanical Technician, in your first year you will spend your time in Worcestershire Group Training to learn the basic skills to put into practice with supervision in your second year in company
As a Mechanical Technician your role will consist of the following:
- Attendance to breakdowns,
- Schedules, build / refurb machinery
- New installations
- General maintenance duties

Many of our senior team went through our apprenticeship programme and have progressed to management throughout the business.
Possible opportunity to study to an HNC Level.
Things to consider
Local or good travel arrangements as public transport at shift times is not readily available.

Level 3 Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard, which includes:
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering - Mechatronics Maintenance Technician (Development)
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
- Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
- End-Point Assessment (EPA)
Year 1:
Training at Worcester Training Group Training Association recently awarded “outstanding” by OFSTED. You will be working through a level 2 practical qualification in the workshop in areas of Hand fitting, mechanical, CAD, lean, Wire and test and PLCs. One day per week you will be in the classroom to complete the FE element of the apprenticeship qualification.
Year 2:
Years 2/3/4 - Experience of the full range of Titan Steel Wheels engineering activities: As well as collating evidence, with support of a Training Officer to be competent to achieve the End Point Assessment in Year 4.
