Requirements and prospects
Desired skills
- A good amount of energy, the job is physical, and requires both speed and focus. With that in mind the applicant will also need to be passionate and fairly driven, sacrifices will be made to personal life, our busiest times are when everyone else is out having fun, so the applicant needs to want to do this job. Beyond that, a good degree of common sense and willingness to listen and follow instructions will be of help, as will the desire to learn
Personal qualities
- Punctuality is a must, time is critical, as is time management. Attention to detail is important, standards of both quality and safety must be maintained whilst moving quickly around the premises
- Willingness to learn and drive to do the job well are both important as well. Hygiene is also critical, the Applicant will be handling people's food so they are expected to be able to keep themselves tidy as well
Desired qualifications
- None specified

- Opportunities going forward will obviously pertain to further growth within the kitchen, and include, but aren’t limited to, developing a full set of skills within the cooking aspects (from patisserie to butchery), confidence in time management such as moving fast in summer months, but using quieter winter periods to develop better quality menu items
