PS Autos have an exciting opportunity for a motor vehicle apprentice to work alongside qualified technicians where they will be trained in all aspects of service, maintenance and repair of vehicles.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Carry out a wide range of servicing and repair work on vehicles to a high standard
- Analyse work orders carefully to understand a vehicle’s condition, the accuracy of the diagnosis, and what work has been agreed
- Ensure effective use of technical knowledge and skills enabling efficient, economic and safe servicing and repair of vehicles
- Complete repair and service records and other appropriate activities the Workshop Controller and Service Manager require
- Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service
- Build effective working relationships with colleagues
- General housekeeping
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures
Requirements and prospects
Desired skills
- Knowledge or experience of the motor industry and or customer service experience would be an advantage
- Good timekeeping skills is essential
- Have good communication skills

- The candidate would have a willingness to be trained and developed, yet have the ability to use their own initiative
- Showing initiative
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions well
- Able to work efficiently while paying attention to detail

Desired qualifications
GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) in maths and English are desirable.
Future prospects
Upon completion of the apprenticeship the successful candidate may have the opportunity to gain full-time employment within the company.
