You will move around the park and sometimes work in our outside food kiosk. Together, we work to create a workplace where everyone feels valued. Role Includes:

  • Learning kitchen possesses and how to work safely in a kitchen environment
  • Preparation of ingredients ready to get cooking
  • Cooking our dishes (Pizza, Pasta, Burgers, Children meals)
  • Working in our outside food kiosks. At Christmas you could be cooking our famous foot long bratwurst. Or in the summer you could be working in our sandwich bar
  • Communicating with customers
  • Providing the excellent customer service we are known for

  • No skills needed; a readiness to learn and someone who is ready to get stuck in and support the team
  • The right attitude is more important than skills, we can teach you them

Personal qualities

  • Eagerness to learn and enjoy work
  • Communication is important; the ability to talk to your line manager and communicate when required to ensure you are getting what you want from the role this will ensure you are happy in your work and we are getting what we need as a business

Desired qualifications

  • There is a requirement for candidates to have English and maths GCSEs at grade 3/D or Level 1 functional skills

Future prospects

  • We are now a large operation and have many job roles within the business; you could work your way up in the kitchen move front of house this includes working on the servery or reception. There is a clear staff structure with many different management roles so there is plenty of opportunity to progress within the business. Unlike some businesses where there is only the General and Assistant manager

Things to consider

  • Please just make sure that you have looked where we are situated to ensure you are able to get here daily for your shifts
  • We are open 9:30am to 6:30pm so evenings you will be free to spend with your friends and family

With huge indoor and outdoor adventure parks, a water play area, a baby sensory area, an animal petting zone and loads more, there's guaranteed fun for all ages. 

New to the Park this season is our exciting Jurassic Mini-Golf Course and our indoor Ninja Course, as well as an expanded Animal Area and a large event space that hosts daily entertainment from our very own Dazzling Darren.
For the thrill-seekers out there, the Wired high ropes course can also be booked separately.

  • Level 2 Production Chef Apprenticeship Standard

Method of Delivery:

  • Delivery will be in partnership with employers and will adopt a blended learning approach of on and off the job training. Apprentices receive training and mentoring in the workplace and knowledge, skills and behaviour development at York College through a combination of classroom/workshop based activities. Apprentices will attend College one day a week

End Point Assessment:

Apprentices must pass the End Point Assessment in order to achieve the Apprenticeship Certificate which comprises of the following:

  • 60 minute on demand test
  • Practical observation
  • Professional discussion

Career Progression:

  • On successful completion apprentices could progress on to the Senior Production Chef or Chef de Partie Apprenticeship or into a more senior role within the Organisation
