To provide excellent standards of service to the external and internal customers in all aspects of warehouse activity including goods inwards, despatch, picking, resource planning, housekeeping and health and safety compliance. Key responsibilities will include:
- To assist with maintaining the company's policy on quality
- To ensure that all safety regulations are adhered to at all times in the warehouse area
- To maintain the readiness of the warehouse equipment and ensure yard/access areas are always kept in a state of tidiness and cleanliness
- To complete all goods inwards and outwards in line with company procedures
- To process the efficient progress of pick notes and prompt despatch of goods
- To ensure logging of customer queries
- To process the provision of information relating to credit note authorisation
- Stocktaking as required by the operations manager
- To assist in the packing of goods for export shipment
- To action the creation, completion and storage of all documentation relevant to goods for export shipment
- To liaise and co-operate with all Allgood group companies and departments in satisfying customer demand
- To exercise care in the handling and lifting of goods, using the equipment provided where appropriate
- To work in a safe and efficient manner but to refer to a manager or director when their assistance or guidance will promote customer service
- To liaise with carriers on a day to day basis dealing with queries and request for proof of delivery
- To organise and assist deliveries and collection arrangements with customers and suppliers
- Participate in staff appraisals and identify training requirements

There are potential opportunities to progress within the company. In the warehouse the apprentice can further advance their skills by assuming additional responsibilities or there are progression opportunities within other areas of the business.
The company will also support further training and development opportunities to include GAI training programme (3-year course).
