What do you have to achieve:
- To support the staff team in providing a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children in the nursery.
- To ensure all children are safeguarded and their welfare and safety is promoted
- To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop.

Responsible to:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children in your area in conjunction with other team members.
- To follow the nursery safeguarding procedures to ensure all children are kept safe, well and secure.
- Support all staff and engage in good staff team.
- To be involved in out of working hours activities. E.g. training, monthly staff meetings, parents evening, fundraising events etc.
- To be flexible within working practices of the nursery. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the nursery, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment’s etc.
- To ensure the provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children regardless of any disabilities, family background or medical history
- Work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the nursery’s philosophy is fulfilled.
- Ensure good standard of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
- Read, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to your role as deemed appropriate by the manager.
- Support others in delivering the EYFS in line with current practice and guidelines.
- To be aware of the high profile of the nursery and to uphold its standards at all times, both within work hours and outside.

About the employer
Ladybird Nursery registered in 1991. It operate from premises in Shepherds Bush, in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The nursery is open each weekday from 8am to 6pm, all year round, except for bank holidays. The nursery receives funding for the provision of early education for children aged two, three and four years. The nursery employs 16 staff. Of these, 10 staff hold appropriate early years qualifications.

Learners must be aged 16 orover. We do not set any other entry requirements but employers may have their own guidelines. at therecruitment stage.
NCFE CACHE Level 2 Diploma for The Early Years Practitioner:
The aim of this qualification is to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding of babies and young children from birth to 7 years of age with applied knowledge in the early years, 0-5 years. The qualification content meets the Department for Education’s (DfE) Level 2 full and relevant criteria for a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner in the workforce. This qualification is ideal for learners looking to work with children between birth and 5 years, and gain knowledge of working with children up to 7 years. Learners do not need to have previous experience or qualifications in working with children to undertake this qualification.
