The role involves providing care and companionship for clients in their home and may include personal care, assistance with medication and nutrition, shopping and activities that help clients lead their best lives.

You will have the opportunity to help people every moment of your working day caring for our clients like they are part of our family. We are looking for caring people with great listening skills, outstanding empathy, loving personality, and the drive to make a difference to our client’s lives.

You will be part of a team of caregiving angels that deliver carer across Cambridgeshire with the support of an office team. We provide extensive training to prepare you for the role and through the apprenticeship program you will achieve your Level 2 Adult Care Worker apprenticeship standard.

No qualifications are required, we will provide your training through the Visiting Angels Academy.

Future prospects

For those that want to be a career carer, there are different levels leading to principal caregiving angel.  For those interested in management, our senior care giving angels and team leaders provide that opportunity.

  • Level 2 Diploma in Care

Over the course of 23 months (dependent upon the level of course an apprentice is being enrolled onto), you will study modules such as personal development in care settings, the responsibilities of a care worker, handling information in care settings, implementing person-centred care plans, safeguarding & protection in care settings, duty of care in care settings, communication in care settings, equality & inclusion in care settings and health & safety and wellbeing in care settings (these units may differ).
