We are recruiting for a stores assistant role with a view to promotion to sales account manager in 2-3 years. The apprenticeship role will be a great way to learn about the company, our work ethics, the structure of the business and the way that the business works on a daily basis. The entire senior management team of the company all started their careers on the shop floor and are testament to the core company values of guiding, training and promoting good people.
The Sales/Stores Assistant role includes:
- generating and increasing sales through serving customers on the trade counter, as well as over the telephone
- preparing customer quotations
- purchase ordering
- supplier negotiation
- Warehouse duties including, picking customer orders, plus goods in / out responsibilities and deliveries to customers
