Reporting to the Operations Manager

Duties will include:

  • Set up and use of sewing machines
  • Learn and develop skills in hand cutting leather, hand sewing, leather covering of Orthotic devices
  • Set up and use buffing machines
  • Grinding & Finishing processes
  • Working with mouldings and plastics to precise manufacturing standards and client specifications
  • Housekeeping
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety procedures and constraints
  • Log Off the Job Learning Hours as part of the apprenticeship programme
  • Learn and develop other skills as required in rotation

M.A.G. Orthotics are the manufacturers of traditionally handcrafted bespoke orthotic devices. We specialise in Lower Limb Orthoses, including adaption to patients footwear, and the accurate manufacture of simple insoles, total contact insoles, DAFO's and AFO's, etc. from casts, impressions and prescriptions. In addition, early 2009 we invested in a large CAD/CAM, which gives added benefits in the precise production of Polypropylene Hard Shells and EVA Insoles. We pride ourselves on quality craftsmanship; customer service, delivery and very competitive prices. Our production and delivery time generally is 7 days from order; however, most of our customers receive their finished items within 4-5 days. M.A.G. Orthotics recognises that most Orthotic and Associated Departments are probably happy with the service they are receiving from their current supplier(s), however, we believe that our products, services, delivery and pricing, would compete in all areas.
