To deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years. To develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child’s development and be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Deputy Nursery Manager/Nursery Manager and complete all academic aspects of the apprenticeship.

We are looking for someone to deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years. To develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child’s development. To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Deputy Nursery Manager/Nursery Manager. To complete all academic aspects of the apprenticeship.
Duties will include, but not limited to:
- Plan and implement stimulating and inclusive activities
- Encourage all aspects of communication development
- Support all aspects of children’s health, safety and wellbeing at all times
- Maintain accurate registers and children’s development records
- Build effective relationships with parents, children and work colleagues
Requirements and prospects

- Good literacy skills

- Ready to learn and take instruction from others

- Works well within a busy team
GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) in maths and English are desirable.
If you do not hold these qualifications then you will be required to enrol of these subjects alongside your early years course.
Progression opportunities on to higher level apprenticeships or full-time positions for the right candidates.

About the employer

Our nursery is housed in a renovated Victorian home that combines the character of its original era with all the safety and convenience of most modern buildings inside and out. We currently provide care for children between the ages of 0 and 5 and are open from 7.45am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday.
