This role will include dealing with the public in person and over the phone so the successsful candidate will have to be confident and have good communication and listening skills.

Duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Dealing with the public face to face and via telephone
  • Learning about stock control
  • Packing items to be sent and eventually making hoses in the company warehouse

There will be various opportunities to learn new skills so willingness to learn is important. You will also be taught how to make the hoses in the warehouse as well as any other duties required by the warehouse manager. Hoseflex operated in a fast-paced environment where attention to health and safety and detail is paramount.

Things to consider

The successful candidate will be working with oil so must ensure they don't have any alergies to oil.

About the employer

The business sells hydraulic and pneumatic supplies from its counter service in Bury and Rugby and fleet of engineer’s vans. It provides a national 24/7 mobile hydraulic hose and fittings replacement and repair service to the transport industry and also provides advisory services for maintenance and design for new systems.

The business is based on a business park on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds. Parking is available. The office is a busy and down to earth environment.

There is a team of approx. 10 office-based staff in Bury St Edmunds plus a team of mobile engineers and staff in the rugby office.
