- Working effectively with the chair of the Board of Directors, the chairs of the Academy Councils, executive headteachers and heads of school before meetings to prepare purposeful agendas which are focused on school improvement and the development of the Trust and take account of DfE and where appropriate local authority issues
- Encouraging the executive headteachers, heads of school and others to produce agenda papers on time for distribution with the meeting agendas
- Producing, collating and distributing the agenda and papers so that directors and MACs receive them at least seven clear days, and preferably ten days before the meeting
- Ensuring the accurate recording of the attendance at meetings and taking appropriate action regarding absences
- Advising the Board of Directors and Academy Councils on governance legislation and procedural matters where necessary before, during and after the meeting
- Ensuring the Board of Directors agree, where relevant, all terms of references for committees and working parties on at least an annual basis, or more frequently when required
- Chairing, when required, the opening of a meeting when a new chair is to be elected
- Taking detailed and accurate notes of meetings to prepare minutes

Desired skills
- Good listening skills which include the ability to discriminate and assimilate key information
- Good literacy skills to enable the writing of concise and accurate summaries of directors’ and members of the academy councils’ (MACs) discussions, leading to a formal minute where decisions, resolutions and recommendations are recorded appropriately and clear
- Ability to communicate and liaise effectively with all directors, MACs, individuals in schools and members of the LA;
- Good interpersonal skills which will allow the development of positive and effective working relationships with chairs, directors, MACs executive headteachers and heads of school
- Ability to time-manage deadlines effectively, allowing the production of agendas, minutes and other documentation within the required timescales

GCSE A*-C 9/4 in English and math's or equivalent
Future prospects
Full time employment after completion od Apprenticeship.
About the employer
The Pegasus Academy Trust (PAT) was the first Primary Multi Academy Trust in Croydon, formed in April 2010 to run our first three schools. We now run six schools on eight sites with over 2000 children and 325 staff. All our schools are located within a ten minute drive of each other in Thornton Heath and South Norwood.
