Hickling & Squires require a post-press Apprentice to work in this busy litho print and finishing department within one of the UK’s leading commercial printers.

The Apprentice will be fully trained to operate the full range of finishing equipment such as:

  • Folding
  • Guillotining
  • Saddle stitching
  • Laminating and die-cutting.

Activities will include:

  • Setting up each machine
  • Running jobs
  • Problem solving.
  • Monitoring all aspects of quality checking
  • Learning all elements of production once jobs are printed.
  • Full health and safety and first aid training will also be given

Fully certified training provided by equipment manufacturers, senior management and operators.  It is a busy and fast paced environment that would suit enthusiastic and hard working applicants.

If you do not hold GCSE grade 9-4/A-C in maths or English you wil be required to complete Functional Skills Level 2 as part of your apprenticeship.
